under the swaying pine a lone dark thin tapeworm
poor distressed preacher, he's gone

the preacher had forgotten all the psalms
that muttered sittng on the bench of blows
into oblivion flying, like an ashes bunch
poor preacher, he was so forgetful

the preacher was so sad
the preacher was so dry
the preacher was empty, we didn't see
he had no plan
he didn’t have the time
one shimmering day and six years of night

the ravens move shiny things around
but it's so weird and unnatural
they don't know how to swim
they don't cross the street, they go along the road

the preacher smoked and drank from the can
he just didn't know he was already dead
no longer he can offer his time
to whom was all the preacher’s prays?
